Julián Maeso

About Julián Maeso

Julián Maeso is an instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter from Toledo, Spain, whose music is heavily inspired by American classic rock, country, and folk. Maeso came to prominence as the Hammond organ player of cult indie band the Sunday Drivers, but he was also part of Speaklow and Sweet Vandals, as well as a touring musician for M-Clan and Quique González. After a bitter departure from the Sunday Drivers in 2007, Maeso contemplated leaving music altogether, but ultimately decided to start anew as a solo artist. He eventually released his debut, the ambitious double album Dreams Are Gone, in 2012. One Way Ticket to Saturn and Somewhere Somehow followed in 2014 and 2016. ~ Mariano Prunes
