Keala is the solo mononym of Tony-nominated actress and R&B powerhouse Keala Settle. She was an experienced musical theater actress and in touring productions before landing her "breakthrough" role in The Greatest Showman. Her most high-profile role to that point, she was cast as Lettie Lutz and sang lead on "This Is Me," nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song and included on a soundtrack that topped the Billboard 200. The same week as the film's U.S. release in December 2017, Settle released her debut EP as Keala. A set of contemporary R&B-infused covers, Chapter One landed on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart. Chapter Two arrived in March 2018. In the meantime, NBC used "This Is Me" as an anthem for their 2018 Winter Olympics coverage. ~ Marcy Donelson
