About McCarthy Trenching

McCarthy Trenching is the band name used by Omaha-based singer-songwriter Dan McCarthy and his ever-shifting band lineup, which at times includes Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst. McCarthy, a multi-instrumentalist, has played with Bright Eyes and many other bands on the Omaha scene, including Cursive, Tilly and the Wall, and Mayday. McCarthy Trenching's self-titled debut album, released in 2008 on Oberst's Team Love label, consists of songs from a pair of self-released demos that originally came out in 2003 and 2006.
