Offering homespun, dance-minded indie rock with experimental tendencies, Moon Diagrams is the solo project of Deerhunter co-founder/drummer Moses Archuleta. Releases such as 2017's Lifetime of Love drift between fuzzy ambient techno and down-tempo dream pop. His first release under the moniker came 14 years after the formation of his band via the three-track Care Package, issued in 2015 as part of a Geographic North cassette series. Ten years in the making (he began tracking it after work on Deerhunter's Cryptograms wrapped), the project's full-length debut, Lifetime of Love, incorporated samples, field recordings, and styles such as disco and ambient techno. It saw release in mid-2017 on Sonic Cathedral (Europe) and Geographic North (everywhere else). Mini-album Trappy Bats appeared in 2019, including remixes by Angel Deradoorian, Shigeto, and Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. ~ Marcy Donelson
