Neumeyer Consort

About Neumeyer Consort

The Neumeyer Consort is a major presence on the early music scene in western Germany, often accompanying choral works. The group has recorded frequently for various German labels. The Neumeyer Consort was founded in 2007 by Baroque cellist and conductor Felix Koch, Baroque violinist Barbara Mauch-Heinke, and harpsichordist Markus Stein. All three remain active with the group, and Koch has continued to serve as artistic director as of the early 2020s; Stein serves as managing director. Its recording debut came in 2010 with the album Platti: Ricercate & Sonate. The Neumeyer Consort launched a cycle of Telemann's complete church cantatas with the Gutenberg Soloists in 2020; the second volume in the series appeared in 2023.
