New Sun

New Sun began in 1993 when D.L. Erickson (guitar) and Christopher Scott Cooper (guitar, vocals, keys) connected and decided that they should create a band. They added Alex Kley (bass) and Scott Landucci (drums), and New Sun was born. The place was the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1984, Landucci left the group and was replaced by Chris Tujillo. They released their first album, Fractured, in 1995. The follow-up, Affects, didn't come around until 1998. The following year saw co-founder Erickson leave the group. Rather than replace him, the group carried on without Erickson, releasing Expectations in 2001. ~ Gary Hill
