About Pavlo Beznosiuk

Violinist Pavlo Beznosiuk was born in the Ukraine and is a professor of Baroque violin at Royal Conservatory at the Hague. As a conductor he has led the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, the Academy of Ancient Music, the Hanover Band, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment along with other period instruments groups. Beznosiuk also served a long tenure as concertmaster for the Academy of Ancient Music. Beznosiuk has recorded for L'Oiseau Lyre, Linn, Naxos, and Hyperion in addition to other labels. Particularly praiseworthy are his recordings of the Biber Rosary Sonatas for Avie and his recordings of the music of Charles Avison for Naxos leading the Avison Ensemble, a pickup group.
