Formed in 2004 in Hamburg, Germany, Peilomat was a rock band that came together through contacts at the Academy of Music in the aforementioned port city. In October of that year, Peilomat made their first live appearance at a small club in Cologne. The group then went on to win the German Rock Prize in the Junior Competition of the DRMV -- the German Rock & Pop Musician's Association in 2005, which allowed them to release a demo EP of five songs. Peilomat honed their skills on-stage before releasing a Top 100 debut single, "Grossstadtkinder" (Big City Kids), and a similarly titled debut album in 2007. ~ Chris True
