About Peligrosos Gorriones

Latin rock band from Argentina Peligrosos Gorriones was formed in the early '90s by singer and bassist Francisco Bochaton, guitarist Guillermo Coda, keyboardist Martín Karakachoff, and drummer Rodrigo Velásquez. Mostly influenced by grunge, Peligrosos Gorriones released their first record in 1993. The album was produced by former Soda Stereo Zeta Bossio and had the hits "El Bicho Reactor" and "Escafandra." Those songs' videos reached the MTV Latino's Top 20 soon after. In August of 1995, the band was invited to a festival called Nuevo Rock Argentino, where Peligrosos Gorriones played along with Babasonicos, los Brujos, and Massacre. That same year, the album Fuga was released. In January of 1996 the band was Robert Plant and Jimmy Page's opening act at a major venue in Buenos Aires. A year later Antiflash was released. ~ Drago Bonacich
