Roger Cooper was raised in Kentucky, where the fiddle music tradition of such greats as Buddy Thomas inspired him to pick up the instrument himself. In addition to his 1996 Rounder release Going Back to Old Kentucky, Cooper has performed with the Bing Brothers, a rapid-fire bluegrass combo from West Virginia. ~ Johnny Loftus
