About Ronald Isley

The longtime voice of the Isley Brothers, Ronald Isley has helmed the influential family group for over half-a-century, a period spanning not only multiple generations of siblings but also massive cultural shifts that heralded their music's transformation from gritty R&B to Motown soul to blistering funk. During the 2000s, as the Isley Brothers remained active, Ronald recorded occasionally as a solo artist, beginning with Here I Am: Isley Meets Bacharach (DreamWorks, 2003), and continuing with Mr. I (Def Soul Classics, 2010), and This Song Is for You (eOne, 2013). Ronald and brother Ernie have continued to lead the Isley Brothers into the 2020s.
