About Ronee Blakley

Best known for her starring role in the classic Robert Altman film NASHVILLE, Ronee Blakely was a well-respected actor and vocalist who in the 1970s was a frequent associate of Bob Dylan. Her 1972 self-titled debut album is considered a cult classic of the singer-songwriter genre and showcases her clear, powerful voice and dramatic piano style. In addition to performing with many other ‘70s musical luminaries (Kris Kristofferson, Leonard Cohen) Blakely has appeared frequently on television, and directed the 1984 film DOCU DRAMA.
