About S. Fresh

After spending years as a manager and producer, S.Fresh decided to switch up his role in the music industry and start producing his own original tracks. Beginning in the late 2000s with a series of high-energy club tracks, the multifaceted rapper grew his audience through tours opening for larger acts such as 2 Chainz and a series of mix tape releases like 2012's Red Cups and After Party's. Shreveport, Louisiana's S.Fresh moved from manager to rapper in 2008 with the single "Shawty Really Love It." Both that song and its follow-up, "Ask Dem Hoes," were high-impact productions in line with Southern party rap and radio rap of the time and received some regional attention, especially "Ask Dem Hoes," which featured guest verses from Lil Boosie. Along with a feature on a Jim Jones track, S.Fresh continued releasing new work of his own into the 2010s. Throughout much of the early part of the decade, he worked on his Red Cups mixtape series. This began in 2012 with Red Cups and After Party's, and continued with 2013's Red Cups II and 2015's Red Cups 3. Collaborations with famed producer Mike WiLL Made-It and rapper Drumma Boy helped shape these projects. In between tours and opening slots for established rappers, S.Fresh released a stream of new singles, including 2017's "A1" featuring Kirko Bangz and 2019's "Self Made." In May 2019, the PM Vibez mixtape was released, collecting a cross-section of older and unreleased tracks. ~ Fred Thomas
