In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first live concert was at Six Flags, featuring Paula Abdul & Milli Vanilli. The showmanship was hilarious! My next 99 shows were put on by a college radio station in the backyard of a little coffee shop, and that is where I witnessed real magic. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Belle and Sebastian, The Life Pursuit Pretenders, Pretenders The Beatles, Anthology 2 Anthology 2 was my first album by The Beatles. Not knowing their produced albums very well, the music struck me as indie rock. I was a late bloomer to The Pretenders, and am so happy I discovered this album when I did. Belle & Sebastian is magic. Tell us why you chose this song. “Next to Argyle” When signed to Rough Trade, we knew that we had one chance to show the world something special. Unlike The Strokes, who we adored, we didn't want to record just one type of song. Next to Aryle is cute, jangly, with unexpected moments...just like us. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for the Arctic Monkeys in Berlin was AMAZING! Germany's audience was so good to us.
