About Wolf Parade
The Canadian indie rock band Wolf Parade initially came together as a trio around the keyboard player, vocalist, and serial band-joiner Spencer Krug (he also works with Frog Eyes, Rubdown, and Swan Lake) in 2003. It quickly grew in size and musical stature, signing to Sub Pop in 2005 and releasing its debut full-length the same year. Produced by the Modest Mouse singer Isaac Brock, the album’s appealing blend of organic, off-kilter arrangements, and oddly infectious hooks garnered the band widespread critical acclaim, as well as comparisons with the similarly artistically adventurous Canadian export Arcade Fire.
