A dancehall reggae vocalist who specialized in that genre's substyle called lover's rock, Tanya Mullings began her career in 1989. She has performed with a number of the scene's top artists, and played shows in a handful of different countries. She has won a number of industry awards, including 11 Canadian Reggae Music Awards and 5 Caribbean Crucible Awards. A handful of Juno Award nominations was augmented in 2008, when Tanya was up for the coveted prize again that year. ~ Chris True
