The first country act to ever reach the finals of the famed Eurovision Song Contest, Germany's tongue in cheek Texas Lightning reclaimed the sound and style of classic honky tonk for the postmodern era, resurrecting classics by Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline as well as more unconventional choices including "Highway to Hell" and "Like a Virgin." The group's contest entry, "No No Never," later topped the German charts upon its official release, selling in excess of 300,000 copies.
