The Buckinghams

About The Buckinghams

Chicago's leading pop/rock band during the mid-'60s, the Buckinghams flirted with major success, but never broke through to the big time. The group's attempts, however, led to a number of memorable pop hits, including the melancholy "Kind of a Drag" and the infectious "Hey Baby (They’re Playing Our Song)." Although the ensemble folded in 1970, it has reemerged in various incarnations since that time, most notably in a line-up without former lead singer Dennis Tufano.
