About The Thermals
The punk rock band the Thermals was formed in 2002 in Portland, Oregon. Originally a quartet, the band became a trio with the departure of its original guitarist, Ben Barnett, and later a duo consisting of the bassist Kathy Foster and the singer and guitarist Hutch Harris after the drummer, Lorin Coleman, also left. The band performs smart, hyperactive, catchy pop-punk, occasionally laced with simple yet effective keyboard lines. It released its first album, MORE PARTS PER MILLION, mixed by Death Cab For Cutie’s Chris Walla, in 2003.
