About Trae tha Truth

Trae tha Truth is a Houston rap veteran and activist known for supporting local communities. • He made his debut by guesting on Houston rapper Z-Ro's 1998 album Look What You Did to Me. • Trae has been a member of the rap collectives Screwed Up Click and Guerilla Maab. He’s also one-half of the duo ABN (“A**holes by Nature”) with Z-Ro. • His 2003 debut album, Losing Composure, features heavy hitters like Bun B, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, and Lil B. • In 2008, the mayor of Houston declared July 22 “Trae Day” in honor of the rapper’s contributions to his community. • Trae signed to T.I.’s Grand Hustle label in 2012 and released his label debut, Tha Truth, three years later. • The noted philanthropist assisted his hometown’s rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
