Trik Turner

About Trik Turner

At the start of the new millennium, the onslaught of new rap-metal outfits showed no sign of slowing down, as evidenced by the emergence of this US septet. Specializing in the same angst-ridden music that predecessors such as Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach took to the top of the charts, Trik Turner was formed in 1999 in Phoenix, Arizona, when rappers/vocalists David (DLB) Bowers (b. 28 May 1973, USA) and Doug (Rid) Moore joined forces. Joining the duo soon afterwards were Steve Faulkner (b. 15 March 1974, USA; bass), Sean Garden (drums), Danny (DBX) Marquez (b. 10 October 1974; turntables), Tracy (Tre) Thorstad (b. 15 December 1973, USA; guitar), and Cristin Davis (guitar). The quintet made their debut with 2000’s independent release, Black Seas And Brown Trees. Signing on with RCA Records in 2001, the band enlisted the help of renowned heavy metal producer Mudrock to rework their debut album. Retitled Trik Turner, the album was released in March 2002.
