Vérité's moody electro-pop is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Kelsey Byrne, whose 2014 debut single, "Strange Enough," became her first viral hit. From there, she issued three self-released EPs -- Echo, Sentiment, and Living -- before her 2016 cover of the 1975's "Somebody Else" became a massive streaming hit, racking up over 100 million plays into the next decade. Her official debut, Somewhere in Between, landed in 2017, followed by the contemplative sophomore LP New Skin in 2019. She continued into the 2020s with New Limbs, Vol. 1 and multiple collaborations. Her third set, Love You Forever, arrived in 2023.
