Zoey Van Goey

About Zoey Van Goey

Scotland-based indie pop ensemble Zoey Van Goey formed in Glasgow in 2006. Featuring the talents of keyboardist/vocalist Kim Moore, guitarist Michael John McCarthy, and drummer Matt Brennan, the band released the single "Foxtrot Vandals," produced by Belle & Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch, in 2007. The follow-up single, "Sweethearts in Disguise," with production from the Delgados' Paul Savage, followed a year later. In 2009, the band released its full-length debut, the Savage-produced The Cage Was Unlocked All Along, which saw re-release on Chemikal Underground in 2010. That same year, bassist Adam Scott joined the band. In 2011, Zoey Van Goey released their sophomore effort, Propeller Versus Wings, once again featuring production from Savage. ~ Matt Collar
