Ultimately, what emerges from Be the Pack Leader are both happier dogs and happier, more centered owners.
Get it for YOUR good!!!
This book by Cesar is clearly the best book you can buy if you want to truly understand your best friend. I don't know many people anymore that don't have issues with their dogs and Cesar is a wonder at helping you to understand that if you want to have a good relationship with your dog, you MUST practice calm, assertive energy. I myself have been practicing this in my life not only with my pets but with everything and it has caused a VERY positive reaction in my life! It will effect your whole life with wonder, not just the relationship that you have with your dog. Do yourself and everyone around you a favor and read this book. Even if you DON'T have a dog! You will truly be blessed. In every facet of your life, I promise.
A lot of talking about very little. Cesar Milan took a few good rules about handling dogs (give them a lot of exercise, calm and assertive discipline, and affection) and built an empire out of it. Good for him so far. But he also favors choke chains, which are cruel and can harm the dog (I recently had to put my own dog to sleep because of a cracked cervix which gave her excruciating pain). So what do you do for an encore when you say all you have to say in your first book? SImple - say it all over again and try to mix it with some self-improvemtnt nonsense about being a pack leader in all areas of your life (just try that on your wife and you'll see how far it gets you). A waste of money - unless you like lots of anecdotes about dogs and their dysfunctional, clueless owners.
