From Kathie Lee Gifford, beloved television host and best-selling author of I Can't Believe I Said That, comes a funny, candid, and personal collection of essays. This smart and witty collection of opinions, observations, and anecdotes covers a broad range of personal topics. Kathie Lee Gifford's stories are often funny, sometimes heartfelt, and always compelling - think Nora Ephron's I Feel Bad About My Neck meets Carol Burnett. No subject is off-limits: talking to her kids about sex, being married to Frank Gifford, embarrassing professional gaffes, run-ins with celebrities (of which there are many), the harsh and funny realities of aging. It's all here, told with intelligence, grace, and comedic wit. Written by Gifford's own hand, this highly original and listenable volume will make you laugh out loud as you reach for the phone to share one of these charming, quirky, and colorful observations.
JUST GO AWAY!
Kathie, just go away.
LOVE that she writes how she talks and reads it like she is talking right to me! Kathie Lee is sharing her journey - not preaching or trying to be an expert on anything but herself and I found it quite enjoyable. Her self-depricating humor keeps the stories moving and it is truly a "fast read" (quick listen?). WARNING: I think you need to be a fan - if you find her annoying on TV, I think you may be annoyed. It's Kathie Lee through and through. I have been a fan since she ran in late to her first day on Regis and Kathie Lee....I appreciate her big mouth and her bigger heart and I loved every minute of this book. PS to Kathie Lee - you are NOT the only one who cut the legs off her control top pantyhose to smooth things out!
