Luke Skywalker, Jedi Master, has unified the Jedi order into a cohesive group of powerful knights. But as the new era begins, honor and duty will collide with friendship and blood ties. The Skywalker and Solo clans find themselves on opposing sides of an explosive conflict, with potentially devastating repercussions for both families, for the Jedi order, and for the entire galaxy. A mission to uncover an illegal missile factory on the planet Adumar ends in a violent ambush from which Jedi Knight Jacen Solo and his protégé and cousin, Ben Skywalker, narrowly escape. It's the most alarming evidence yet that sparks of political unrest are threatening to ignite a total rebellion.
I only have one complaint
I really only have one complaint about this audio book and that is that it is abridged. The story is great and the narration was very well done. I even liked the sound effects that were sprinkled about the reading. I can only wonder what was removed from the actual story. My hope is that it was merely just descriptives and nothing that play any sort of role however unimportant it may seem. Kind of expensive but otherwise a worthy purchase.
cost's too much for 6 hrs of listening
is a good ref for the new fate of the jedi books.
Fun to see a new story unfold
I thought the storytelling was great, although I have to admit that at times the storyline was hard to follow. About chapter 3 I had to keep rewinding. Would like to have had more chapter stops in it. On the plus side, this is a good story about Jacen and you start to see Ben's growth, but mainly it's about watching events unfold. This is sort of in the middle of the new stories, so if you're looking for something to catch you up, start off with the Thrawn series. I read Fate of the Jedi #1: Outcast before starting this, and so far Outcast was more inline with my tastes. Looking forward to Bloodlines and continuing the story.
