Once, in a house on Egypt Street, there lived a china rabbit named Edward Tulane. The rabbit was very pleased with himself, and for good reason: He was owned by a girl named Abilene, who treated him with the utmost care and adored him completely. And then, one day, he was lost. Kate DiCamillo takes us on an extraordinary journey, from the depths of the ocean to the net of a fisherman, from the top of a garbage heap to the fireside of a hoboes' camp, from the bedside of an ailing child to the bustling streets of Memphis. And along the way, we are shown a true miracle, that even a heart of the most breakable kind can learn to love, to lose, and to love again.

So beautiful. You should buy it.
I was in 3rd grade when my teacher first read the book to our class. then a year later, my 4th grade teacher read it to the class
Now i am in 8th grade, going on to high school, and I am still in love with this book. i may have forgotten the name of the story over the years, but the tale itself, that moved me to tears every time, i remember so vividly. I could even tell my teachers had to restrain themselves to not cry in front of the class.
I am so happy I have come in contact with the book again.I recommend this book to Everyone. It doesn't matter if you're 9 or 90, this book will make your heart swell up with sadness and joy.
thank you, Kate DiCamillo
