This seventh novel in author Diana Gabaldon’s immensely popular Outlander saga takes listeners on a thrilling journey to 1777 America. Jamie Fraser knows from his time-traveling wife Claire that, no matter how unlikely it seems, America will win the Revolutionary War. But fighting for the eventual winner is no guarantee of safety. And worse still, the possibility of pointing a weapon at his own son—a young officer in the British army—haunts Jamie’s every thought.
Best One Yet!
How is this not her best work?!!! She can't just write about the same people over and over! I loved everything about this book and the fact that she switched back and forth between characters made it interesting. If you love Diana Gabaldon then you should expect many twist and turns. I loved it!!
For the very first time ever in this series I found myself wishing I bought the abridged version of this book. By this point we all know that Galbaldon can be very long winded about things that have nothing to do with the plot or story, but for some reason it was A LOT more noticeable in this book. I am a HUGE fan of the Outlander series and if you've made it this far, then I'm sure you will enjoy being with your favorite characters again. The only problem was that she has added on so many characters and now feels the need to do each character justice and lets not forget the history that she would hate to leave out that it felt like A LOT of time just waiting for Clair and Jamie.
Agree, not her best
The beginning was awesome- flipping from present to past, I loved that. But, then, as the book wore on, it disappointed. I have read all of the books multiple times and have never been disappointed. Perhaps the next one will be up to the same quality as all the rest.
