I love the book but...
The book is awesome! But the woman reading this is horrid! I only gave 5 stars because this book is a must have for any one that is considering to become a writer.
Authors should NOT read their own books...
I think this is a wonderful book and Anne Lamott is without a doubt a great writer. I wish however that she would have put ego aside (or whatever it was that compelled her to read her own book) and found a suitable narrator to read this book. Her voice, unlike her writing, is horrible and excruciating to listen too. In fact I can only take about 20 minutes at a time before I find myself wanting to hurl my computer out of the window. Save yourself the money and just read the book.
Bought it for class...
Might as well just sit down and read it if you want to write books, othewise keep moving along. Bought this to keep me paced while reading along for AP Literature class, and I read faster without it. :/
