The most beautiful story of the Lord of the Underworld Series and the perfect prequel
If you ever read a short story that you wish with all your heart it was longer yet knowing that the story is perfect the way that it is. Then this is the story to read. Garyon gave his soul to the devil for wrong woman and as a result became The Guardian of the Gates of Hell as a result. Despite his hellified existance he fell feel in love with Cadence the Goddess of Oppression. Falling in love despite the hell of their existance is what makes this story so beautiful I almost cried. To fall in love with a person's walk, hair, speech, breath, beauty, and existance to the point of creating a sense of paradise in an otherwise hell hole is worth the read. The story is beautifully told and seems all together real. The narrator makes you sense the suffering of Garyon's love for Cadence and yet also the beauty of his love all at the same time.
The Darkest Fire
As a fan of the Lords of the Underworld series, I thought this would be a good buy. The narrator's voice is so annoying I didn't even finish listening to the book. He might think he sounds sexy, but he definitely does not!
This is the beginning of the Underworld lord series. I absolutely loved these book. I found this book had a sad ending unlike the other in the series. Get the audiobook, it is a good bargain.
