The story starts at 100 miles an hour and never slows down for a second. The characters are all well fleshed out and have compelling back stories then give credence to their actions and motivations. The multiple storylines move smoothly in unison. I am usually skeptical about novels that are not narrated by their author, but Ray Porter really blows it out of the park. The character of Sonny McGinnis particularly was greatly voiced by the narrator.
This is the first, Scoot Sigler, book I ever listened to. I was hooked and that was more than 10 years ago! Buying the book because it is a great story and I will listen to it more than once.
Cannot to listen to another amazing Sigler book. The original was good and believe this one will be great.
