Best book ive ever read
Amazing and life changing
upsetting
unfortunately the audiobook has stopped playing in the middle of chapter 27 and will not advance, very frustrating experience!
A moralistic and dated book
Unrealistic characters mired in an obvious and moralistic biblical parable. Sexist complete with a ridiculous fem fatale posed with all the inexplicable immorality as Eve chomping the apple. I enjoy other Steinbeck, but this book is far too self-conscious of itself and its underlying aspirations to the deep failure of the storytelling.
