Wonderful story-telling!
Even as someone who is unfamiliar with many of the sea-faring terms commonly used in this era and venue, I was captivated by the descriptions of the scenery and details of the inner-workings of life on a large sailing vessel. The narration of this book is well done and if you like adventurous, war-time, historical story-telling, than this is one novel that will not disappoint. I can only hope that the rest of the Bolitho novels are soon put into mp3 form, especially those that start at the beginning of his life as a sailor.
