Please note: This audiobook contains graphic adult content. Daunted by the singular tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house. But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing, sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven, and demanding Fifty Shades. While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.

Customer Reviews

Not worth it.

I wish someone had written a review about how irritating and bad the narrator is. Her voice as Christian is ridiculous. I would love to get my money back. I cannot listen to her any longer. Not too mention the bad writing. I could go on but most people seem to love this book. I just don't see it.

This will seem harsh, but....

If you wanted a narrator that makes you believe Anna is ditzy, shallow, fake & extremely juvenile; well, congrats. Oh, wait? That WASN'T on purpose? PICK A NEW NARRATOR.

Her imitations of male speech are ridiculous. Truly. It is like listening to a 14 year old gossip girl doing bad impersonations of adult men. The only thing worse was her pathetic (albeit extremely brief) attempt at an English accent (Book 1).

In all honesty the atrocious narration turned this from a "adult romance" to an "adult comedy" at best.

As an avid audiobook fan I have certainly encountered my share of mediocre & even poor narrators; however, she both stands out as the unquestioned worst and enough so that it prompted me to leave a review about the NARRATOR instead of the BOOK.

The book itself is fairly good, as far as the genre goes; but the narrator is the ultimate example of butchering a book by way of a horrible casting choice. Both she (the narrator) & whom ever auditioned/hired her should all be fired. Find another career, madam. This is most definitely NOT your forte.

I wish they wouldn't have changed Becca's voice! I like her voice better on the first book! Now it sounds unnatural and not as sweet. Bad decision.
