Will her cat ruin her Christmas chance for love?
Bella Tallahan has always hidden behind her twin sister, Tally. She was born with cerebral palsy and even though she has finished college, she lives vicariously through her sister's adventures.
It worked, until her sister married writer Lucky Lenigan, and Bella developed a crush on Lucky's brother - a bad boy with a shady past.
Chance Martin made one mistake growing up - one that landed him in prison. After his release, he spends his days restoring antique furniture and his nights alone.
When Mr. Klutz, Bella's fat tabby cat, wreaks havoc in the furniture workshop, Chance confronts Bella and finds himself with a dilemma. He's not the right kind of guy for a woman with disabilities, but at the same time, he can't get her out of his mind.
Will the trail of destruction left by one naughty cat bring Bella her Christmas chance for love? Can Chance rise above his past and convince Bella that she is truly worth loving? Or will the secret he is keeping horrify Bella enough to send her back into hiding?
Author's Note: Although part of the Christmas Creek Romance Series, Her Christmas Chance is a complete and standalone story. Bella Tallahan appears in a previous story, Lucky in Laguna, where her sister Tally Tallahan meets and falls in love with Lucky Lenigan.
Christmas Creek Romances Book 2
I’m well aquatinted with Rachelle Ayala’s writing. She writes unique stories and this one was outstanding. I don’t think I’ve read any books where the heroine has special needs. Bella has cerebral palsy but she is independent, she works, and wants to do as much as she can by herself. It is an inspirational story.
Narration is excellent and brought the story to life.
I really enjoyed the characters specially Mr Klutz! I’m an animal lover and absolutely love cats. The story also had some serious areas about abuse, resentment, and forgiveness. As in the previous book, it also has a touch of magic.
The story is fairly clean with heated moments but no specific details.
The books wraps up nicely with a HEA conclusion for everyone including Mr. Klutz!
An Emotional Journey
Rachelle Ayala has done it again with bringing characters to life who have flaws but are still lovable! Bella has cerebral palsy and Chance has been in prison. They had met before at her sister and his brother's wedding. They had hit it off then and both had a crush on each other. Now Chance is living with his step-father next door to Bella. Bella's cat, Mr. Klutz, keeps getting into Chance's furniture repair shop and destroying his work. Bella is learning to live on her own and Chance is still trying to overcome his reputation from being in prison. This is an emotional story with both of them and their families coming to understand each other. Rachelle brings real life situations into her books and sheds light on disabilities and different life experiences. Kate Marcin does a wonderful job narrating. You will enjoy this book, I'm sure! I received a free copy in exchange for my review.
