Strong telepath Elle Drake has gone missing. Even her six magical sisters cannot find her. They all agree that she is alive and something terrible must have happened or she would have contacted them. Jackson Deveau, a deputy sheriff in the small village of Sea Haven, off the northern California coast, has known that Elle is destined for him. When she disappears, he gathers with his friends, Jonas Harrington and Ilya Prakenskii, and Elle's sisters to find her and bring her safely home. But Sea Haven is no longer safe for any of them and it takes every bit of strength the combination of all the Drakes and their men to survive the coming storm.
I'm a huge Feehan fan. I've ready pretty much all of her books excepting the "game" series. I've read all the Drake Sister books and was very happy that another had been released. I'm sad to say though, that if you are hoping for an exciting, adventure filled romance, you won't find it here. This book is border line fetish. It has very graphic sexual violence. I read romance... I'm not looking for a lesson in real world harm to women, obviously. If I were I'd read about human trafficking in real world places like Darfur and Afghanistan. I don't want it from my good time, listen as you work Feehan book. gah. I'm giving it 3 stars only because it kills me to give her any less... it was well written. The characters are well formed, the situation palpable, the time line unmuddled. But for me, I would like to have known what I was getting into before I bought it... I hope this review helps someone.
