After Jolie Becker is left at the altar, her friends secretly hire a handsome beach bum to cheer her up.
When an accident ends his professional surfing career, Ken Cassidy wants nothing more than to land an acting role. Little does he know, his best acting job will be helping a jilted bride get her confidence back.
Everything changes when love kicks in. Will Jolie believe Ken's feelings are real when she discovers he's the hired help?
Bad Boys for Hire are fun and exciting stories where love is unexpected, but always delicious. They can be listened to as standalones, but for greater enjoyment, please be sure to check out the other books in the series.
Book One: Ryker and Terri (Motorcycle Club Romance)
Book Two: Ken and Jolie (Hawaiian Vacation Romance)
Book Three: Nick and Carol (Christmas Holiday Romance)
Short, Fun read
Reading this book set in Hawaii while freezing my butt off in Chicago was the best way for me to escape the cold today. There are some steamy love scenes but it is mostly a second chance romance that is sweet and sassy in all the best ways!
I listened to the audio version and Chris Abell did a great job voicing all of the characters. There were times where it was hard to believe they were all done by one person!
Take me to Hawaii
Bad Boys for Hire...what a fun series this is! Ken is the first of the series that I have listened to, but if it is any indication of the others, I am grabbing them all and giving them a listen! From start to finish, Rachelle Ayala gives you love, passion, angst, and meddling all wrapped up in to a fun filled book. Jolie Becker is left at the alter, and is off on her honeymoon. There she "meets" Ken. Little does she know, he works for Bad Boys for Hire....and what she doesn't know about him can hurt her! Assumptions and the ability not to trust has her testing this man to the limits. Can he pass them? Give it a listen, enjoy the scenes of Hawaii, the banter and heat between Jolie and Ken and their way to each other.
Chris Abell narrates this book with such ease, you daydream yourself right into the story. He has a good array of voices for each character and an infectious enthusiasm that pulls you right in.
Ken and Jolie and the groomless honeymoon
Ken is the second book in Bad Boys for Hire, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Ken is hired by Jolie's friends to stand in as the groom when Jolie gets stood up at her wedding. But he doesn't get there in time. He decides to go to Hawaii and be the stand in on the honeymoon doing all the things Jolie's fiancee scheduled for them. Ken also takes his wheelchair bound sister along on the trip and makes sure she has a good time, too. He really is considerate of everyone. Jolie has a lot of allergies but Ken does his best to find foods, etc that Jolie can eat without having problems. Ken figures out that he and Jolie knew each other in grade school before he had to move. This story is great with all the twists and turns and I think you'll enjoy this book. Chris Abell does a wonderful job of narrating Rachelle Ayala's story. I really like how Rachelle writes about people of different backgrounds with different problems and manages to bring it all together at the end. I received a copy of the audio book in exchange for my honest review.
