When the oracle warns Prince Aeson that his future mate is in the human realm and is in great danger, he wastes no time going in search of her. Problem is he has no idea for whom he's looking. He's never met her, and the oracle couldn't give him anything more than small clues as to who she is and where she might be. Sent to one of his favorite hangouts--a sex club--Aeson is stunned when a beauty shows up on the arm of another man, a man void of emotion. Aeson senses trouble surrounding her and something else--something that marks her as his. He doesn't care if she is or isn't the woman the oracle told him about; she's the woman he wants. Anyone who dares to stand in his way will feel his wrath, and before the night is out she'll feel exactly what it's like to be taken by a prince.
Master of The Hunt
Master of the Hunt is book three in the highly entertaining and unique Bird Shifter series by Mandy Roth. The whole series has been awesome and this addition did not disappoint. Paranormal bird shifters, the Buteos Regalis, live in the dimensional realm of Accipitridae. The portal between the human world and theirs allows the shifters to visit often, which many times includes enjoying the company of beautiful human women. Prince Aeson has not only been taking full advantage of these visits but has found he enjoys frequenting sex clubs that feature BDSM.
His brother, King Kabril has mated with a human women and they now have a handful of very active triplet boys. The oracle has decreed that the human women are the key to saving their species as births have become extremely rare.
Aeson is quite happy with his life as an unattached Prince but King Kabril feels it is time he finds his mate. Kabril forces him to hear the oracle's words learning that he does have a true mate who is in danger, and the only clue he has to go on is the symbol of a Sparrow.
Prince Aeson rushes to the human realm to save his mate, and the first place he looks is the place he has become familiar with, a BDSM club.
From here the adventure unfolds with an awesome mix of action, mystery and suspense, a good deal of humor, and of course some hot erotic scenes. The story is well paced, packs a lot of everything into a short book and has some wonderful surprises as well.
The chemistry between Aeson and Shelby ignites from the moment funny, awkward moment they meet in the "club". Shelby is an independent strong woman who is less than pleased her date has taken her to a sex club. I liked the twist in this book that Aeson is soon to learn Shelby and her family are not totally this book are not totally human.
Master of the Hunt had me intrigued from the beginning, I finished in one day. Although they can be read independently I recommend reading this awesome series in order.
