From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance.
At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

By far my favorite book. And the sound track to go with it. TOP NOTCH!! I honestly am in love this book!! Will read repeatedly!!!
I would watch this as a movie over and over again!
I finished a book that was a complete let down on romance and personal connection. This book, brought me back to loving a good read. So heart warming and wrenching, so good to feel a character’s emotions, and so well written. This is likely my new favorite! Please read if you need to feel love and escape away from reality for a bit. It makes you feel good about life again.
Music is my passion
Welcome to the musical world of Ridge and Sydney. When she walked out on that balcony his heart beat faster. She came out to listen to him play his guitar while he came out to watch her sing. After she was betrayed by her best friend and boyfriend Sydney found herself immersed the Ridge’s musical world. They were loyal hearts united by music.
Out of all the books Colleen Hoover has written I see the most of her personality shine through in this one. The pranks alone is the first indicator. The witty commentary is the second. Of course, the writing is the obvious notification.
This was a musically driven story. The story includes lyrics to songs which Griffin Peterson wrote. Listening to these songs added the perfect connection between these two characters.
These are the most sincere characters I’ve ever read. The way Colleen portrayed Ridge and Sydney was powerful. I am a huge music lover in general. The way Ridge experienced music was profound. It didn’t even matter that these were folk songs. The passion and desire linked to the words was so powerful. Colleen shed a new unexpected light on the way some individuals experience music. I love the way Colleen taps into the emotional aspect of her characters. No matter what subject matter she’s trying to address she pulls out all the stops. These emotions that she writes about is so raw and realistic. It’s not something that can be researched. She’s just very in tune and aware of the way she visualizes a character expressing emotions.
Most people see the prankster side of Colleen but very few get to delve deep into the emotional side. Obviously she pours her feelings into her characters and shares there stories with her readers. I am so grateful to have discovered her art. I thank her each time she invents new characters with new original storylines. I look forward to reading one of her books each year. She has a craft that is hard to achieve by most. She was blessed with the ability to formulate words well. Whether she’s writing a post on Facebook or a post on Instagram I always take the time to read what she has to say.
Colleen’s talent is endless. With poetry slams in Slammed and songs in Maybe Someday written and produced by Griffin Peterson. Colleen is truly a gifted artist. Not to mention Confess was made into a movie.
Dual point of views. Two narrators. Male performer for Ridge was Zachary Webber. I love me some Zachary. Female performer for Sydney was Angela Goethals. She was a new voice for me, but one I will look into buying again, Both did a superb performance. I’m impressed by the dialogue performance of both these narrators. They expressed the feelings and emotions with raw honest beauty from both Ridge and Sydney. The songs and texting dialogue was performed extremely well. I remember reading those texts and thinking how tedious they seemed. The narrators pulled a magic trick out of there hat and made pure magic out of those scenes. My heart melted for the words performed. I truly re-fell in love with these characters.
My audiobook experience enhanced my reading experience. I’m so pleased with this unabridged copy. I loved following along with my ebook. 10 hours and 40 minutes is the length. I listened at 2X the speed. I prefer this pace.
This is book 1 in the Maybe series. Maybe Someday book 1. Maybe Not book 1.5. Maybe Now book 2.
Griffin Peterson created the original music for Maybe Someday you can find his songs on iTunes. These songs were wonderful to listen to. I gained a better understanding for the emotions and passion for the songs written for each other.
