Newly appointed CIA director Dr. Irene Kennedy is the target of an inside plot to destroy her and prematurely end the American President's term. To make matters worse, Saddam Hussein is close to entering the nuclear arms race - something Israel has vowed to stop. With the haunting specter of World War III looming, the president calls on his secret weapon: top counter-terrorism operative Mitch Rapp. But with only two weeks to take out the nukes, Rapp is up against a ticking clock - and impossible odds.
I have listened to all Vince Flynn's books and this is the only one that I have to listen to in blocks because the reader is so bad. Goerge guidall where are you! Vince if you need more money just ask, but dont let this reader redifine how your books are heard.
The worst listening experience ever
The reader destroyed this book -- he was so appallingly bad, I could not listen to it. It sounded like cheap drama, bordering on singing. Not to mention that many of the pronunciations of the words were just plain wrong. I really tried, because I am a die-hard Vince Flynn fan, but I had to give up when I found myself correcting the reader and swearing at him for being so awful. Bring George Guidal back....PLEASE!!
A narration disaster.....
The reader is terrible. He sounds like a flamboyant character from an Ace Ventura movie. I worship Mitch Rapp and all of Vince Flynn’s novels, but this narrator really killed this one. Sorry Vince, stick with George Guidall.
