Skinny Bastard: A Kick in the Ass for Real Men Who Want to Stop Being Fat and Start Getting Buff (Unabridged)

by Rory Freedman, Kim Barnouin

Description

Guys like Milwaukee Brewers' Prince Fielder and the Dallas Mavericks' Jerry Stackhouse who have adopted a whole new eating plan by reading over their girlfriends' shoulders can now have a book of their own. In Skinny Bastard the authors explain why the macho "meat and potatoes" diet is total crap - and a turn-off - and how to get buff on the right foods. Eating well shouldn't be a "girlie" thing, and the Skinny Bastards will whip any man into shape with their straight talk, sound guidance, and locker-room language. This is another in the wildly popular series of no-nonsense, tough-love guides to real health.

HORRIBLE book!!

Possibly the worst book I've ever read(listened to). The title is as misleading as the author claims the food we eat is. In this entire book there is about 1 page dedicated to exercise yet the title is about being 'buff'?? It is filled with misleading, manipulative misinformation but it doesn't stop there. Green tea has been documented by NIH as marginal in health benefits and not being close to the wonderous claims that these authors put on it. (don't know about you but I choose to trust NIH over these people). The author throws more negativity in the readers face than he can handle until you're numb from all the "you're going to die" crap. They sprinkle in foul language and call it a book for "men" like that's what we need to be enrolled in the garbage they're peddling. But don't listen to me, if you really feel the need to be pounded about how poor animals are killed to feed us and how evil american businesses are, all given under the premise of getting "buff" please read it. I can sum up the entire book for you and save you money- "Become Vegan you p***y". Endless tyrades about how bad every food is for you except those that come from the dealers they list.

This Book Saved My LIfe

I was a meat eating slob until I read this book. I adopted every piece of advice Rory and Kim give and have, so far, lost 30 pounds, and lowered my blood pressure and cholesteol - significantly. By being very careful about what I eat and working out, as the book suggests, I have totally reinvented my body. I can't stress enough how great this book is.

Great book about Vegan eating

Great information, they could do without the foul language and attempts at grossing us out. The facts in this book are very good and support the message of the book.
