“Lady Hawksworth, your husband is not dead.” With those words, Lara’s life turned upside down. Hunter, Earl of Hawksworth, had been lost at sea. Or so she’d been told. Their unhappy marriage - with its cold caresses and passionless kisses – was over. But now a powerful, virile man stood before her, telling secrets only a husband could know, and vowing she would once again be his wife in every way. While Lara couldn’t deny that this man with the smoldering dark eyes resembled Hunter, he was attentive and loving in ways he never was before. Soon she desperately wanted to believe, with every beat of her heart, that this stranger was truly her husband. But had this rake reformed – or was Lara being seduced by a cunning stranger?

I have never read anything by this author. I purchased this 3 days ago and am finished. It's twists and turns kept me quite enthralled! What a great story! You won't be disappointed!
Enjoyable and entertaining, but be ready for very adult passages!
I was looking for a long unabridged book to kill a few hours and this was a good price so I decided to try it. I liked the story line and the narrator was pretty good. The only thing that was a little difficult for me was the male voices done by the female narrator. The male voices left a little to be desired.
I use to read racy romance novels so that was not new to me but I guess I was a little surprised that this book had a lot of very descriptive sex scenes included and a couple of times made you think that the two main characters had absolutely no control and that the total relationship was purely based on lust and obsession. With that said I still enjoyed it and don't feel cheated for the price.
It was one of those books you just have to keep going so you can find out how it ends loved it
