Good book helped alot

It helped to get ready for APUSH alot! But i found a typeo at like 3.45 on the first bookit says that the revolutionary war ended at 1883 not 1783!

Irritating...

The reader obviously had limited background on the subject. His mispronunciation of names, battles and towns grew to be very irritating. I gave it two stars based only because it was a quick overview of the Civil War at a reasonable price.

Good enough

I agree with the other comment that the reader had limited knowledge of the civil war -- but I also question the legitimacy of "history in an hour" itself when they don't catch mistakes like "After the American Revolution ended in 1883...". Lame.

All that aside, it's a pretty reliable recount of the civil war. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a quick history recap.
