Here is the original American full dramatization of The Hobbit, as broadcast on National Public Radio. Bilbo Baggins, a gentle hobbit who loves the comforts of home, reluctantly joins a company of dwarves on a journey to recover plundered gold from a fierce dragon. It's a tale of high adventure and astonishing courage, and a magical prelude to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
I personaly enjoyed the dframatization of the Hobbit. It was veery interesting to listen to,I recommend this for people who like to listen to books instead of reading.
great book but it cost
this is a great book and if you like the lord of the rings movies than this is for you, but there is small flaw with it the price. i wish it was around 12 bucks but still it's worth it.
Warning Shorter Version
I purchased The Hobbit Audiobook, hoping it was something I could read along to, with my hard cover book. I was disappointed, not even a paragraph through the audiobook. The audiobook takes out chunks of the story. I prefer reading books that get really into detail. The actual hard-cover book of The Hobbit I have is much more in detail. If it was made audio, it would take more like 8-10 hours to listen through. I'll have to keep my eyes out for a longer version. Don't get this if you already read the longer version, you'll regret it. Also the sample clip had some nice voice acting. So there probably is some good voice acting. But I didnt like the choice of voice they used for Gandalf.
