"Julia Whelan reads the novel in her low, pleasant voice, moving down a register to capture Richard's infuriating condescension and lightening slightly for the younger Emma. With its perfidious turns, this escapist entertainment is a fine example of the 21st century's more cynical version of the O. Henry ending." — The Washington Post

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The tense twists of Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen’s thriller The Wife Between Us work even better in the audiobook version. This seemingly straightforward story—about a jilted ex-wife dealing with the fallout from her divorce and her ex’s engagement to the woman he left her for—kept shifting in unpredictable directions. And actress Julia Whelan’s deceptively calm narration repeatedly pulled the rug out from under us. We were on the edge of our seat throughout…and the book’s ending made us want to start all over from the beginning!

Very slow moving
While the character development is good, this novel moves entirely too slow. It also does not move chronologically so it’s a struggle at times to know “where you’re at” in the story. It does have a satisfying ending, but I’m suite of that is due to a good climax or the fact that it is just finally done.
The book starts off annoying, but that’s the point. It’s an excellent story of gaslighting and abusive relationships, and I highly recommend it.
Lots of buildup
Part one of the book was very intriguing but it fell short at the end. Lots of buildup for little payoff
