As some of you may know, Prohibition locked the barkeep out of the bar and threw away the craft of the cocktail. We want to showcase 25 cocktails that survived the death and rebirth of the American Bartender to give you enough information about each to expand your working knowledge of drink making.
These recipes were selected for the enthusiast, both professional and amateur. They serve as a guide to inspire those who seek to customize traditional cocktails to suit a discerning palate. The goal is to create a better drink experience for the imbiber.
What's New in Version 1.1
My new favorite bar book!
Ah, a classy way to merge my love of all things spirited with those things technological.
This "book" is more app than book, with 25 interactive cocktail pages, each with pictures, video, and text all explaining how the drinks are made. Definitely beats my quick Googles of "best French 75 recipe" and then wading through various sites looking for something explaining.
The bartender in the videos is informative and shows what he's doing, the videos are clean and perfect length, and the quick written directions are great if you just need a refresher on how to make your new favorite cocktail.
Definitely learned a few new ones, only wish there were even more cocktails!
Great design and content
This book should set the bar, so to speak, for all e-books that tell how to do things and do them well. It's everything an e-book of this kind should be: great design that works with informative content, masterly videos with bonus montage videos--and it's fun to read, and watch. I recommend it highly to anyone--beginner or seasoned mixer--as a reference tool and for enjoyment. I hope this is the start to a series of e-books on this subject. Cheers!
Nicely done and well thought out... even pleasing to the eye! With this book even a nocice can mix like a seasoned pro.
