A terrific history of Columbia!
An amazingly comprehensive history of Columbia Records, with beautiful illustrations and a very compelling narrative by Saul Wilentz. His insight into the behind the scenes, skullduggery and racial history tied into our American music is phenomenal to say the least. The $15 iBook takes it even further , with interactive videos and mp3s and the free companion iBook, Legends and Legacy offers really cool animated spinning records (remember those?!) which play LPs.
All in all, an incredible deal and a history which will be valued for years to come.
