A night she'll never forget…
Miss Lucy Lancester has loved her brother’s best friend, Roman Alexander, for as long as she can remember. So devotedly, she’s vowed never to marry anyone else. But her beloved libertine is hardly aware of her existence, and not the least deserving of her affection. Deciding her cause is lost, she makes plans to open a girls’ school in Bath. There’s just one thing she needs to do before she confirms her spinsterhood forever: spend one blissful night in Roman’s arms. But her handsome rogue isn’t ready to have the tables turned. It will take more than a coquettish smile to turn his head. She must play a game…of persuasion.
Way too repetitive
When there is a series, I anticipate a different story that may have SOME overlapping qualities. This second book was the same novel written from another perspective. It makes you skip so many pages because you already know what's going to happen. There's not surprise about it. I ended up hating Lucy in this story. She sounds so self centered and spoiled. It really only came down to her wants and needs and screw everyone else. And to get to the end of the book and there to still be no resolution is beyond frustrating after reading 400+ pages of the same story of the last book.
I read this book and enjoyed it. I did not care for the ending though. I realize the book continues, but I prefer, one story with the ending intact.
