Four years ago I lost my virginity on live, streaming television.
Too bad I wasn’t awake for it.
The video went viral. Of course it would. A Senator’s daughter on camera? Wouldn’t you click “share”? Besides, that’s what three of the four guys in the video did.
They shared me.
But that fourth guy? The nondescript one in the background in the upper left corner of the screen, just sitting on the couch? The only one who did nothing?
Not one single thing.
That was my boyfriend, Drew.
And that was the last time I saw him.
Until today, when my father—now on a path to the White House—hired him as head of security for my new team as I return home after four years of “recovering” in an undisclosed location that involved white lab coats, needles, pills and damage control.
You see, the other three guys never went to jail. Never had charges pressed.
Never faced consequences.

A Harmless Little Game is the first in this political thriller/romantic suspense trilogy by USA Today bestselling author Meli Raine.
A Great Start to a Suspenseful Series
Love, Hate, Dishonesty, Suspense, Violence, and that’s just the first two chapters! Learn more about LIndsay and her horrific past and the last four years. Fast forward to the beginning of the 5th year and watch everything unfold. Is the political scene behind all of the lies and dishonesty? Will Drew be involved more deeply that suspected? What about dear mom? You wont be dissapointed with the first book of what will become another wonderful series.
Not a complete story
I detest teaser books! When I purchase a book I expect to get an entire story not just the first part of the story. It's a cheat otherwise. I am just too put out to purchase the remainder.
A great start to a new series
It has been a long time since I read a book in one sitting until A Harmless Little Game. The author pulls you in from page one and keeps your attention until the last page. Just when you think you figured out who you can and cannot trust a new twist is thrown in. I can't wait until the next book comes out but this time I won't start it at 11 pm.
I highly recommend this book if you love suspense, romance and a heroine going through major trauma who is able to come out a stronger person. (make sure to have tissue handy)
