A Heartless Design
Thanks for the free book. The book is interesting in regards: the heroine is older, she is an engineer, she is smart & has unique handling of retrained staff.
Cons: minor grammar errors (about 20), wrong usage of various words & situations for time period, too wordy (get rid about 1/4), heroine did not come across as that smart (esp at kidnapping), feel characters were too many and yet not enough in-depth character building of primaries & secondary cast (ex: focused too much on clerk at shipyard, should have more focus in C's household staff, and two main villains, etc). Also the flow of the book is not smooth.
Took me about a week to read this as opposed to 2 days normally. This book overall is good as it has an interesting plot, but would be truly great if revisions can be improve upon.

The characters were both stronger and believable. I liked the characters right away! If this series continues with same characters, I will love it, if not I have no doubt they will be just as enjoyable! Great writing!
